My real name is Hwa Shi-Hsia (I hate writing it the Westernized way with surname last because it destroys the rotational symmetry of my initials.) My family is of southern Chinese genetic stock, Malaysian nationality, and speaks English, which tends to confuse people from around here. I finished public school in Malaysia and came to the USA for college and graduate studies.
Haven't been blogging much. Haven't been working much. Haven't been drawing much. Haven't been doing much of anything except reading a lot of escapist fiction (Terry Pratchett and Frank Herbert if you want to know).
I'm hitting a wall. Will update when I feel more like a human and less like a slug.

It's been a while since I read Frank Herbert. I enjoyed "Dune" and his short stories. I couldn't really get into Terry Pratchett. I'm really sorry to see that Robert Jordan passed away... without another 12 "Wheel of Time" novels, how will we know how it truly ends?? </sarcasm>
Taking some downtime is usually a good thing... I'm look forward to the blogs and Blur Toad when you're rested again.
